The 2023 Global Optical Fiber and Cable Conference, co-hosted by the Asia-Pacific Optical Fiber and Cable Industry Association (APC) and Fiberhome, was held in Wuhan.

During the meeting, guided by independent intellectual property rights and localization, Fiberhome made every effort to tackle the difficulties of marine communication technology, build a core technology product platform, improve the overall solution of large-capacity submarine optical communication, and unveil new technologies and new products.

 16 fiber-to-submarine optical repeater (RPT)

In submarine cable communication solutions, submarine optical cable repeaters have always been considered the technical commanding heights of long-distance and large-capacity transmission, and submarine optical repeater products and technologies can directly reflect the core technical level of enterprises in the overall solution of submarine cable communication. The 16-fiber pair submarine cable repeater unveiled by Fiberhome this time breaks through key technologies such as structural platform component design, laser redundancy backup design, high-voltage insulation and underwater heat dissipation, with a maximum capacity of 300T, a single span of up to 130 km, an application depth of 8,000 meters, and a service life of 25 years, which is the preferred solution for large-capacity transoceanic communication scenarios with a transmission distance of more than 500km.

Subsea Remote Pump Amplifier (ROPA)

Fiberhome's new self-developed 48 fiber pair remote pump platform products adopt third-stage Raman and third-stage remote pump technology, as well as fully independently designed and developed underwater RGU units, completing key technology breakthroughs and reaching the international leading level. It can meet the transmission needs of single-span long-distance and large-capacity between islands, with a maximum capacity of 460T and a maximum transmission distance of 680km in laboratories.
